 Slim The Mind… The Body Will Follow

Slim the Mind and the Body will Follow has been my motto throughout my own personal weight loss journey. This blogsite is devoted to helping you reach your weight loss goals from the inside out. Working on just losing weight is not the key to successfully keeping the weight off. The key is to deal with the reasoning for eating the way you do. Pluck the root, and the weed will stop growing. Slim your mind first, then your body will have no other choice but to follow. 

Overall, one of the biggest reasons why we eat the way we do is because of our mood. If we’re in a good mood; we celebrate. If we are in a bad mood, we have comfort food. Thinking about the mental aspect of eating is biggest part of slimming the mind and getting rid of the blues.

When people bring negative news to you… send it back with them! Do not receive it. You are not a trash can so do not let people dump their garbage on you! That is another big part about slimming your mind. You have to move the prongs of the people in your life as well. Some people are in your life for a reason, a season, and some for a life-time. The ones that are there for a short period of time may not grow with you to your next level. Some people say when they lose weight they lose their “fat” friends because they no longer do the things they did when they still had the weight on. I am not suggesting you get rid of any friends, but I am encouraging you to blow off negative news and negative people. 

Keep positive people around you and you will remain positive. This is a fact. Stay positive! Encourage others around you. No matter what… keep going!!!
