Ladies and Gentlemen I’d like to introduce to some and present to others my greatest gift to the world to date. My self-help guide, “The Waiting Room ~ Surviving & Thriving in the Waiting Rooms of Life.” Here are some excerpts from the book currently going into print with Xulon Press in Miami, Florida.

Patience- The ability to accept without compliant, as inconvenience or delay.
Patient- Accepting of inconvenience or difficulty; tolerant.
Patience is a gift; learn how to use it on a daily basis.
Chapter Six- Wanting to Wait.
Learning how to cultivate our waiting room quiet times for our own betterment. Unlock your potential… why you wait.
Chapter Seven- Realizing… When the WAIT is Over.
When the WAIT is finally over… then what? How to take yourself into your next level one step at a time.
So, tell me what you think! This is a summary of each of the lessons in each chapter. If you have followed my blogs you know my methods of writing. The greatest thing about this piece is anyone in any stage of life can use this as a guide back to themselves. I spent several years of my life in what I like to call “The Waiting Room”. It is the place where you feel helpless and stuck after a life disaster. Loss of a job, loss of a relationship, failure of a business, loss of a child or loved one, disappointments due to downsizing, loss of a home due to foreclosure, loss of benefits due to discharge for the services, any loss or what could be deemed as a failure in your life. I was thinking about the economy and the state of being right during Christmas. How Obama can’t be with his family because the republicans couldn’t simply agree on helping people like us. All we asked for was for them to extend unemployment benefits to those whose have run out and they are struggling to make it. For the people you buy your coffee from in the morning to not have to be taxed more than they already are. I continued to ponder this news broadcast I saw on Rock Center on NBC about these same congress people who are all currently millionaires. I’m thinking to myself, WOW! How could this be? Who cares about us? Who is fighting for us? All people care about is which reality tv star is moving to Dallas next or who’s getting divorces or whatever else nonsense they can find to write & report about. All of this just kept me up at night to the point that I said I have to do something to reduce this carbon footprint and put people back to work… so my mind started churning…. and here we go.
What do we do in… “The Waiting Room”. When you don’t know what to do… what do you do? How can you unlock your own bolted down doors? How can you do something to better your own situation? With no job, no money, no credit, and no backers how can you pull yourself out of the pit you have been hiding in? By realizing your own fullest potential! So, I’m thinking that sounds good, but we need some answers. AND THE ANSWERS BEGAN TO FLOW! When is the most inconvenient time of your life? While you are waiting!!! Waiting for a call back for a job, waiting to see if your approved for a loan, waiting for the right business idea, waiting for the results in the doctors office, waiting at the red light, waiting at the bus stop, waiting at the copier, waiting… waiting… and more waiting. Yes, it will make you feel like you are going insane and for some, they are. People are feeling helpless right now. Like there is no hope. As if they will never see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is as if the some of the middle class are vastly becoming apart of the lower class and sliding below the poverty level. I have met former millionaires while volunteering at food banks. I have met million dollar producers that are now on public assistance. I have watched companies close their doors because workers simply asked for better wages and insurance for their families. I have an aunt who was fired while she was in the hospital fighting for her life after a massive stroke. Some people are in the fight of their lives and if we don’t do something to make a change who will? What will happen to this ecomony if we don’t rise up and do what it is we were called to do? This book is an action plan filled with a call to action coupled with instructions from the pit to the palace.
What it is not:
~ A get rich quick plan. This is a method on how to use your waiting rooms of life to figure out what it is you are supposed to be doing with your life. This is a personal inventory workbook designed to be read and used in waiting rooms of life in life.

27 OctLong Time No See

Wow! When I say a long time… I mean it! Where do I start? Well I guess with the fact that I have lost over 80 lbs and counting!!! I have so much going on in my life right now, BUT my positions are the same; I still say we must make time for everything that is important in our lives. I have been doing just that. We taped the show in October. I will tell you more when I know if the pilot is approved and the air date. Not many people are even strong enough to tell their life story in church less known on national tv, but I figure if it can help someone I am all for it!
So many things have changes since the last time I wrote!!! Many have changed the way I view things, but not my beliefs. I believe that your gifts will make room for you and bring you before great men and women so in order for you to be ready you must practice them. Moses practiced his gifts when he was in the desert. Joseph practiced his gifts when he was in prison. Ruth was practicing her gifts when Boaz saw her. All throughout the bible their are mentions of people who were extra-ordinary in ordinary situations, careers, and odd places. Regardless of where you are in life you do not have to stay there. You can make a change today that will shape your tomorrow.
Change isn’t change until you make some changes! GET M.A.D. Because when you get M.A.D.; you are now ready to M.ake A. D.ecision!!!

I was reading my bible and came across this:
WEAKNESS = inability to produce results
So I pose the question. Are you weak? Do you have the ability to produce results or not? We SAY we are strong until the strength is needed then we cave in and want to quit. We SAY we can handle anything thrown our way until we are put in a situation beyond our control. We SAY we trust God until we really have to prove it then we question Him instead. I pose the question. Are you weak?
How do you know? What evidence do you have to support your answer. Oh I know I’m not weak… because…. yea we all have an answer until you get laid off after you spent $5,000 to move. You know you are strong until you find out your boyfriend of seven years has another woman pregnant. You know you are strong until you are diagnosed with breast cancer. Then what?
This is NOT the time to cave in and quit; this is the time to pull on all the prayers, all the strength, all the words of encouragement, this is the time to call a fast, lock in, and shut in for prayer. This is NOT the time to invite yourself and the people that love you to your pity party they may be busy RSVPing to their own parties. No this is the time to place your roots in the ground and stand firm on what you know. TO THEM THAT KNOW THEIR GOD… do you know HIM? Then are you weak? The answer is NO! In your greatest time of weakness… in the times that you are unable to be productive, in the times where you do not know where you next meal is coming from…. this is the time to NOT be weak, but to be strong. Stronger than ever!
People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. This is the time to take all that knowledge you would give others, and apply it to your situation. What would you tell someone else to do in this situation? I think Felicia Rashad said it best in For Colored Girls, “Child, you gotta get up from here.” It is okay. No matter what you are going through it is okay!!!! You are NOT weak you are strong! You are the strongest person you know! Yes you may cry, its okay to cry it is the body’s natural way of cleansing itself. You may need to take a walk, its okay its good for you and an excellent stress reliever. You definitely need to pray, its okay we should pray without ceasing anyway… now you just have something to pray for then thank God for. Now listen, you pray for this thing ONCE then you thank God for His will being done, then you thank Him for the victory!!!
No matter what, I am positive, I am assured, I am confident… this too shall pass. You ARE Strong!!!

We sometimes allow people who do not have a right to judge us to do just that. We all make mistakes yes this is true, but the lesson is to learn what you did wrong and learn to never do it again; not allow yourself to be beat down by someone else that feels they have power over you because they know about your screw ups. Not so!!! Only God can judge you means just that. People do not have a heaven nor hell to put you in. You repent to God!!! He is the only one that can judge you… all people can do is send you on a slope down hill escorted by them!!! Don’t let them! Shake them off and move forward. No matter what you did; you repent and move on. That is all you can do.
